De-stress your relationship with your kids and food
In this course parents will learn how to nurture a feeding style that encourages connection, fun and love between them and their children. This feeding style will empower parents to feed children with less stress, anxiety and struggle. A functional parent-child feeding relationship will enable children to stay on track nutritionally, while children intuitively learn how to eat normally in a diet-crazed world.
Do you think your child is a picky eater? Do you wish that he or she would eat more fruits and vegetables?
Or are you bothered by how much they eat and wish you could lower their weight and/or obsession with junk foods?
These food issues can manifest in fighting, screaming, crying, stonewalling and, at worst, gastrointestinal distress for kids (bloating and constipation) and a loathing of certain foods for a lifetime, which none of us conscious mamas want to see.
The big question is: How can I help my child learn to love healthy food?
Change starts with you and how you feed. Learn how to approach the dinner table with love, healthy boundaries and a commitment to lifelong change.
We will cover:
• Ellyn Satter’s Division of Responsibility and how to use it right away to transform mealtimes.
• Four key feeding styles and possible outcomes that result from using each one.
• Which feeding style is most likely to encourage healthy behaviors and body image in children long-term.
• How to serve a nightly family dinner with key points to consider when feeding picky eaters or children carrying extra weight.
• Q and A time to address specific questions and concerns of parents in the room.
• Handouts with resources for further learning and support.
